Kang is currently an Investment Director of AustralianSuper's Real Assets Investment team based in New York and has been part of the team since November 2021. At AustralianSuper, Kang is specifically responsible for AustralianSuper's coverage of digital, transport and logistics infrastructure in North America. He is also part of the asset management team overseeing AustralianSuper's investments in DataBank, Generate Capital, Quinbrook and Stonepeak. Kang joined AustralianSuper with expertise in infrastructure investments within the North American and APAC regions, most recently with Transurban Group where he was involved in over US$15 billion in transactions (including the A25 acquisition in Montreal, WestConnex acquisition in Sydney and Transurban Chesapeake divestiture in Virginia). During his time at Transurban Group, he led the Corporate Finance function in North America and managed a team of 4 other investment professionals. Prior to Transurban, Kang was part of the Infrastructure, Utilities and Renewables investment banking team at Macquarie Capital in Melbourne, Australia where he worked across various infrastructure sub-sectors.
