Scott is Managing Partner and founder of Birdwood, a specialist investment manager providing investors with premium returns from energy transition investments. Birdwood has a unique approach to investing, with two thirds of its team comprising engineers with deep experience in the energy sector for the dual purpose of managing risk and extracting additional value premium.  Birdwood is headquartered in Melbourne, with offices in London and Munich, managing three investment vehicles and has a A$5bn investment portfolio.

Scott is a passionate leader in the energy sector, at the frontline of energy storage and renewables sector across Europe, Australia, US, Asia, and Africa.  He has led public and private firms over the last 25 years; and pioneered financing structures for the sector. Scott returned to Australia in 2020 and founded Birdwood. Scott is a Fellow of Monash University, BEc, Chartered Accountant, MBA from London Business School and one of UK Financial Times top 50 LGBT business leaders.
