Dan Bleasdale is a Managing Director of FirstPoint's London office where he leads European advisory & distribution across Infrastructure and Private Equity. Dan started his career on the trading floor in the inflation markets where he spent six years trading inflation government bonds, swaps and options, whilst introducing the, then nascent, e-trading platform. He then decided to switch careers by moving from fixed income trading to alternative asset placement. Initially responsible for managing investors globally from Japan to the US MidWest, across primary and secondary markets, his focus has since narrowed to strategically advising clients and leading their fundraises, whilst managing investor relationships in the UK, DACH region, and the US. FirstPoint, established in 2010, is an independent boutique global private capital solutions group focused on the US, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. They offer Bespoke, Experienced and Effective services to a select number of clients seeking long-term business partnerships for all capital and fundraising solutions. Their senior team ' half of which have LP backgrounds ' have completed more than 200 fundraising assignments across multiple cycles totalling in excess of USD 125 billion of fund commitments globally. Raising for specialist GPs across both Infrastructure and Private Equity asset classes, their clients are predominantly repeat, multi-fund and off-cycle partners. They have a focused 'rifle shot' approach using in-depth investor knowledge with complete focus and attention, delivering a proven track record of 75% of funds being closed at or above their hard cap.
