Dr. Joaquin Ferrer
Dr. Joaquin Vicente Ferrer is a climate risk and resilience scientist specializing in hazard, exposure, and vulnerability modeling for energy infrastructure. At Repath, he develops data-driven insights to support adaptation and financial planning and climate-resilient decision-making. Previously, he conducted research at the University of Potsdam’s Natural Hazards group and as a guest researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. He earned a Dr. rer. nat. (magna cum laude) for research on global exposure to large landslides and holds three master’s degrees through the Erasmus Mundus Flood Risk Management program. He was an Allianz Climate Risk Award finalist (2024).
Repath
Repath transforms climate risk from a static compliance check into a dynamic driver of asset valuation. Moving beyond generic heatmaps, we provide infrastructure investors with engineering-grade financial modeling that quantifies exactly how physical hazards erode Net Present Value (NPV) through operational inefficiency, yield drag, and accelerated CapEx cycles. By Calculating the precise "payback time" of resilience measures, Repath enables deal teams to price climate risk directly into DCF and IRR models, empowering investors to identify "no-regret" adaptation strategies that protect cash flows and defend exit multiples.
