Mathias Bimberg
Dr. Mathias Bimberg joined Prime Capital AG in 2015 and currently serves as Head of Infrastructure. He is responsible for defining the investment strategy of the Prime Green Energy Infrastructure Fund and overseeing the origination, selection, and execution of new investments as well as divestitures. Under his leadership, the team has invested in more than 6 GW through both equity and mezzanine capital across the Nordics, Germany, France, Spain, the UK, and Italy.
Before joining Prime Capital, Dr. Bimberg held senior roles in transaction advisory and private equity. He worked at Ernst & Young in Frankfurt and Jeddah, focusing on financial due diligence for private equity clients and renewable energy transactions. Earlier in his career, he served as Investment Associate at Equita Management GmbH and as Senior Associate in M&A at Lincoln International AG, including a secondment to Chicago in debt advisory and valuations.
Dr. Bimberg holds a Ph.D. in Corporate Finance from Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a German Diploma in Business Administration.
