Ivan Chern is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Seraya Partners, an Asia focused mid-market infrastructure fund with US$2.5 billion AUM, established in 2020. He is a member of its Investment Committee and sits on the board of its various portfolio companies, including Empyrion Digital (a green data center company), Cyan Renewables (an offshore wind vessel platform), SPTel (a nationwide fiber network operator in Singapore) and G&B Infratech (a Korea energy transition platform). Prior to Seraya Partners, he was a Managing Director and Executive Committee member of RRJ Capital, an Asia-focused private equity fund where he joined since 2011 and was based in Hong Kong and Singapore. Before that, Ivan was part of Morgan Stanley’s Asia Special Situations Group focusing on Asia principal investments from 2010 to 2011. Before attending business school in 2009, he was a corporate lawyer from 2003 to 2008. He received his MBA from INSEAD and his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from National University of Singapore.
