Jakob Baruël Poulsen is Managing Partner and co-founder of CIP, an infrastructure fund management company established in 2012 with PensionDanmark as founding investor. He leads the Partner group and Investment Committee, focusing on new investment opportunities and strategic decisions. Jakob has more than 27 years of professional experience, including 19 years in the energy sector. Before founding CIP, he held senior positions at DONG Energy (now Ørsted) from 2001 to 2012, most recently as Deputy CEO of the Renewables Division and Head of Corporate Affairs. He played a key role in consolidating the Danish energy sector and developing DONG Energy’s offshore wind business into a global leader. Earlier in his career, Jakob worked at the Danish Ministry of Finance and McKinsey & Company. He holds a Master of Science in Economics & Finance (Cand. Polit.) from the University of Copenhagen.
