Jakob Groot
Before joining CIP, Mr. Groot was most recently Global Head of Corporate & Institutions and a member of the Executive Board at Danske Bank. The responsibility included setting the strategy for the C&I division in partnership with the Executive and Supervisory Board, and day to day responsibility for execution of the strategy. This included responsibility for Danske Bank’s credit exposure to Large Corporate and Institutions, in excess of EUR 250bn, across all sectors and both senior and leveraged lending. Mr. Groot also had responsibility for the Markets division activities and exposure. Prior to joining Danske Bank, Mr. Groot was a Managing Director and member of the Management team for the Markets division in Unicredit’s CIB division, responsible for the global institutional investor business. Mr. Groot has also held Executive Vice President and Managing Director positions in ABN AMRO and RBS’ global investment banking division with a global responsibility for their Rates, FX, Credit, Commodities and Emerging Markets activities based out of London. Prior to this, Mr. Groot was CEO and Country Manager for ABN AMRO’s activities in Japan.
