Adaptogen's Managing Director James Mills has spent his career as a specialist energy investor across both listed and private equity markets, with in-depth knowledge of the Utility and Renewable Energy sectors. James founded Adaptogen Capital as a specialist battery storage investment business in 2020 having worked for a variety of Institutional and family office backed firms. He has Board and advisory roles with a leading UK green energy software technology company and Adaptogen's first UK utility scale battery investment platform, as well as several European battery storage businesses. Adaptogen Capital is a specialist energy storage investment firm backed by some of the earliest investors in the UK battery storage industry. Adaptogen believe the decarbonised, renewable energy systems of the future will require huge investment in flexibility and resilience, providing unique investment opportunities for its clients. Today, Adaptogen manages over '250m of capital and a 500MW+ portfolio of UK battery storage assets through from development, construction, and into operations. Adaptogen is now developing a storage investment platform across Europe, with a focus on secured sites in Belgium, Germany and Iberia, and is moving to the next stage of capital raising to fund those platforms
