Julien is co-founder and CEO of Reed, an asset manager specializing in essential transition infrastructure for water, energy, waste, and digital in Europe. Reed combines technology and infrastructure and deploys an infrastructure equity value-added strategy that leverages the resilience and return on infrastructure, the capital gain of growth capital, and the social value of sustainability commitments.

Julien led energy transition activities for 12 years at Meridiam, where he also managed the acquisition of Suez, a leading water and waste management company. He had previously worked for the French Ministry of Finance, where he oversaw the EDF energy group within the State Participation Agency (APE).

Julien is a graduate of École des Ponts Paristech and holds two master's degrees in science and public affairs.

He teaches energy regulation and investment at Sciences-Po Paris - School of Public Affairs and is a member of the Atlantic Council Millenium Fellow.
