Michael Hoverman is an Executive Director of Infrastructure for Greystar and leads the company’s Infrastructure Investment Management business. Michael is responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s infrastructure team, strategy, portfolio construction, investments, capital formation, and client service. Michael serves as a member of Greystar’s Investment Committee for infrastructure and ESG Advisory Group.

Under Michael’s leadership, the infrastructure team is responsible for global infrastructure capital formation, investment structuring, acquisitions, asset management and dispositions, and managing key strategic relationships with Greystar’s infrastructure partners globally.

Michael has nearly 20 years of private markets industry experience, including more than 18 years in the infrastructure industry. Most recently, Michael was a Principal (Partner) at CIM Group where he was a leader in the growth and success of CIM’s infrastructure platform for more than ten years. At CIM Group, Michael helped build a large team of dedicated infrastructure professionals and led capital formation, strategy, structuring, and investor relations for CIM’s infrastructure strategy. Michael served as a member of CIM’s Investment Committee, Management Committee, and ESG Committee.

Prior to CIM, Michael was a Vice President at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, where he was responsible for infrastructure capital raising, investor relations, portfolio management, and asset reporting for Macquarie Infrastructure Partners I, II & III. In this role, he worked extensively on infrastructure investments in digital infrastructure, regulated utilities, renewable energy, waste management, and transportation.

Michael holds a Master of Finance (Investment Banking) degree from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Arts in economics and philosophy from Bates College. Michael also holds current Series 24, 7 and 63 licenses with FINRA.
