Nicolas Motelay founded New End in 2018 and oversees the firm's business operations while playing an active role in project management activities across all New End mandates. Before founding New End, Nicolas Motelay worked at Oaktree Capital, where he served as Global co-Head of Marketing in the firm's London office. He played a key part in expanding Oaktree's distribution outside the US and led a team across five business units: business development, client services, marketing collateral, marketing and sales, and strategy/research.

New End

New End was founded in 2018 by a senior team which shares a history in alternative credit, real assets, and specialized private equity. Today the firm includes professionals from 7 nationalities with offices in both Europe and North America. The firm provides fund formation, capital raising as well as strategic advisory services to established and emerging GPs. New End also underwrites and invests principal capital into investments originated by the team alongside either GPs or fund-less sponsors.  The firm has recently expanded into the GP capital solutions space, using its balance sheet and bringing outside investors to provide balance sheet options to sponsors as well as acquire GP stakes, especially in emerging European managers.
