Omar is a Partner in Analysys Mason’s Paris office. He has over 30 years’ experience in the telecoms sector, both in operational positions and as a consultant. He has conducted a wide range of due diligence, strategy and regulation projects in more than 40 countries and territories across five continents.

Over the past 10 years, Omar has conducted due diligence on over 50 fibre access projects, in France and throughout Europe, including market entries, fibre carve-outs, concessions for rural networks and establishment of build-to-suit contracts. He acted both on the sell- and buy-side, with equity, initial financing and refinancing perspectives.

Omar has also conducted due diligence on assets such as national/regional backhaul/backbone networks, subsea cables, data centres, satellites, fixed and mobile operators, longhaul and international connectivity providers, equipment vendors, software platforms and technical contractors.
