Patrick Moloney

Global Director, Resilience & Sustainability Advisory , Ramboll Management Consulting

Patrick leads Ramboll’s resilience and sustainability advisory, with more than twenty years of international experience working with critical infrastructure across energy, transport, and industrial systems. His work focuses on helping infrastructure owners, operators, and investors strengthen performance and continuity under conditions of sustained disruption and uncertainty.

He advises on resilience strategy, asset, and portfolio-level resilience maturity assessments, criticality and dependency analysis, risk, and scenario assessment. His work examines how disruption, systemic interdependencies, and long-term uncertainty affect asset performance, portfolio stability, and investment outcomes.

Over his career Patrick has experienced the true meaning of resilience i.e., delivering essential services under stress, from his work in a post war Kosovo, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. This experience is coupled with his in-depth understanding of critical infrastructure operations across the Nordics.

In recent years, Patrick has focused on identifying concrete resilience gaps across infrastructure systems, including single points of failure, concentration risk, and operational fragilities, and supporting clients in translating these insights into targeted, investable measures that improve robustness, adaptability, and long-term value.

Ramboll Management Consulting

Investors face growing uncertainty driven by regulatory volatility, unclear demand, rising capital costs, and fragile supply chains, which can slow decisions and increase the risk of value erosion. Too often, fragmented analysis and siloed due diligence miss critical system effects, leading to costly post-close surprises.

Ramboll cuts through this uncertainty by focusing on the questions that truly move value. We stress-test outcomes using scenario analysis, value-at-risk, and bankability testing across commercial, market, technical, environmental, and regulatory dimensions.

A global engineering, design, and consultancy firm of 18,000+ specialists, Ramboll combines market-leading environmental advisory, deep technical engineering, and strong commercial and market insight across energy, infrastructure, and the built environment. Our integrated advisory delivers clear go-or-no-go decisions, quantified sensitivities, and a concise, actionable value-creation and implementation plan, supporting investors from strategy and transaction through ownership and delivery.
