Peter Romanowski

Managing Director, HEVIMA Beteiligungsgesellschaft

Peter Romanowski is an entrepreneur, investor and economist with more than 30 years of experience across banking, infrastructure finance, investment and energy technology.

Peter has worked on both sides of the investment equation: financing and investing in infrastructure assets while also building technology-driven companies. His experience includes renewable energy, battery energy storage, battery intelligence, mobility, project finance, fund management and strategic transactions.

Peter co-founded Photon Energy and ACCURE Battery Intelligence and served as CFO and executive in several energy and technology businesses. He was also involved in the financing and strategic development of QINOUS, including the process that led to its acquisition by Rolls-Royce.

Through HEVIMA, he invests in businesses and funds where economic value and positive environmental impact can reinforce each other.

His particular experience lies at the intersection of high technology and infrastructure: understanding when a technology risk is still a venture issue, when an asset becomes infrastructure, and what is required to make the transition investable and bankable.

HEVIMA

The Family Offices focuses on technologies and business models contributing to the energy transition, resource efficiency and a more sustainable economy. Areas of interest include energy storage and flexibility, renewable energy, mobility, circular economy and materials, carbon management and related technologies.

HEVIMA combines investment activities with hands-on entrepreneurial and strategic work. Its perspective is shaped by more than 30 years of experience in finance and investment and by direct involvement in building and financing technology companies and sustainable infrastructure projects.

HEVIMA's investment philosophy is straightforward: environmental impact is not a substitute for economic performance - sustainable businesses need both. The focus is therefore on funds, projects and companies where environmental benefits are credible, economically relevant and capable of scaling.
