Scott is Managing Partner and founder of Birdwood, a specialist investment manager providing investors premium returns from energy transition investments. Birdwood has a unique approach to investing, with two thirds of its team comprising engineers with deep experience in the energy sector for the dual purpose of managing risk and extracting additional value premium. Birdwood is headquartered in Melbourne, with offices in London and Munich, managing five investment vehicles and has a US$3.4 billion investment portfolio.
Scott is a passionate leader in the energy sector, at the frontline of the energy storage and renewable energy across Europe, Australia, US, Asia, and Africa. He led public and private firms over the last 25 years based in London; and pioneered financing structures for the sector. Scott founded Birdwood upon returning to Australia in 2020. Scott has a MBA from London Business School, is a Fellow of Monash University, with a B.Ec, Chartered Accountant, and one of UK Financial Times top 50 LGBT business leaders.
