Serge Lauper

Serge Lauper is Partner, Global Head and Chief Investment Officer for GIP Solutions, based in Zurich. A founding member of the business in 2008, he has more than 30 years of private markets investment experience and has deployed capital across multiple economic cycles. He leads GIP Solutions’ investment and portfolio management activities and chairs its Investment Committee, with a focus on long-term value creation for investors. Before joining BlackRock in 2012, he was an Investment Principal at Swiss Re Private Equity Partners, where he built and developed the infrastructure equity investment practice and invested on behalf of institutional investors. He began his career at Bain & Company and The Boston Consulting Group, focusing on power and telecommunications infrastructure. He holds master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering from ETH Zurich and Finance from London Business School.
