Simon Buhl
Simon is an Investment Officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB) within EIB Global, responsible for investments in infrastructure and private equity funds outside the European Union. His work centres on climate focused investments, with responsibility for sourcing, execution and monitoring of fund commitments across a wide range of sectors. He serves as an Advisory Committee member for several funds. At EIB, Simon also coordinates the Emerging Market Climate Action Fund (EMCAF), a blended finance fund of funds launched in partnership between the EIB and Allianz Global Investors to mobilise private capital for climate mitigation, adaptation and circular economy projects across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Prior to his current role, Simon worked on European private equity fund commitments and secondaries at the European Investment Fund (EIF). He began his career in corporate finance at DZ PRIVATBANK.
