Alan Kao is a Principal and Global Director for ESG Services at Ramboll. Alan has more than 30 years of experience in ESG and EHS due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, compliance auditing, and strategic regulatory compliance assistance. He works with financial, legal, and corporate clients to help them understand ESG risks and opportunities in M&A transactions. Alan works with companies to develop ESG strategies that are aligned with their business objectives, and create implementation roadmaps and communication strategies, often blending in analogies with pop culture. He also works with clients to evaluate climate resiliency issues and assess physical and transition risks associated with climate change, as well as navigating the evolving regulatory landscape for sustainability reporting, disclosures, and performance.
