Dan D’Ambrosio is a partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and a member of the Firm’s Sustainability Practice Group. Dan advises clients on the commercial and legal risks that sustainability and supply chain regulation create across a range of corporate, fund formation and sustainable finance transactions, regulatory compliance matters and complex disputes and crises. Dan has been counselling clients on business and human rights matters for over a decade, advising on international human rights standards and frameworks such as the OECD Guidelines and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and related legal and regulatory requirements on disclosure and due diligence. He has particular depth advising on cross-border forced labour and supply chain risks, including on legal governance, contractual and liability considerations associated with use of AI tools to mitigate these risks. Dan also advises on sustainable finance disclosures (including pursuant to SFDR, CSRD, ISSB, PRI, among other frameworks), greenwashing and climate change topics focusing on the practical application of regulatory and commercial requirements within corporate, private equity and institutional investment contexts. Dan works with clients to convert requirements into strategy, governance, risk management processes, investor negotiations, commercial contracts and M&A processes. Dan has advised on complex human rights disputes and crises with significant commercial and liability stakes, including parent company liability risk across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, disputes before OECD National Contact Points and UN bodies and on the design and structuring of effective governance and grievance mechanisms.
