Julia French
Julia French leads LPPI's Responsible Investment team, working across strategy, reporting, policy development and client advisory to advance responsible investment priorities for LPPI and its LGPS partner funds. Since joining LPPI in 2021, she has spearheaded the organisation's climate strategy and net zero programme, overseen the embedding of systematic ESG integration into day-to-day investment decision making across the business and shaped the design and implementation of LPPI's climate solutions fund. Prior to LPPI, Julia worked in various climate finance and sustainability consulting roles and holds an MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance from Imperial College London.
About LPPI
LPPI was established in 2016 to enable UK local government and public sector schemes to pool resources and improve management of their assets for the benefit of employers and their scheme members. LPPI’s total assets under management (AUM) is over £57bn as at 30th April 2026.
From inception, LPPI pooled 100% of partner fund assets under a Whole Scheme Management model which provides access to attractive investments in a cost-effective manner while partner funds retain sovereignty of their strategic asset allocation, investment objectives and risk appetite.
LPPI manages assets, allocated across a wide range of asset classes, on behalf of nine pension funds: Avon Pension Fund, The Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund, Cornwall Pension Fund, Devon Pension Fund, Dorset County Pension Fund, Environment Agency Pension Fund, Lancashire County Pension Fund, London Pensions Fund Authority and Somerset Council Pension Fund.
