Maarten Biermans
Comes from Rabobank where he led the Global Sustainable Finance Team. Before his tenure at Rabobank - where he started as its Head of ESG policy - he worked as a strategy consultant at Spring Associates specializing in responsible investment advisory and ESG integration with PE firms. He holds dual Master Degrees in Economics and Philosophy and a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Active contributor to think tanks on ESG issues incl. the Human Rights committee of the Advisory Council on International Affairs. He teaches at the Amsterdam Business School on Sustainable Finance and Impact Investing and is a dedicated fan of Bob Dylan.
At Prow Capital, Maarten is predominantly responsible for ESG for the Green Shipping Fund, a private debt fund focuses on the decarbonization of shipping.
