Silva Dezelan

Dr. Silva Deželan is Head of Impact & ESG at Forbion, a leading European life sciences venture capital firm, where she leads the firm’s impact and ESG strategy and oversees its implementation across the investment platform. With more than 18 years of experience in sustainability, ESG integration, and responsible and impact investing, she brings deep practical and strategic expertise shaped by senior roles including ESG Director at Stafford Capital Partners and Director of Sustainability at Robeco Private Equity. Silva began her career in responsible investing as an SRI analyst at the Institute for Investment Services Research and has combined industry leadership with academic experience as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Ljubljana. A recognized thought leader in the field, she actively contributes to advancing ESG best practices as Chair of Invest Europe’s ESG Committee and as member of the Steering Committee of the Life Sciences VC Sustainability Initiative. Silva holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
