Simon Abrams

Simon is a business leader operating at the intersection of private markets investing, sustainability, and defence. With three decades of experience, he helps organizations navigate complex strategic and ethical challenges while enabling commercially grounded sustainable transformation.

He is the Founder of Elpis Impact (established March 2024), a strategic sustainability advisory firm which has a specialism in responsible defence. The firm supports investors in assessing how to participate responsibly across the defence ecosystem, providing clarity on risk appetite and sector-specific ethical considerations.

Simon's career began in engineering and manufacturing at Unilever before transitioning to investment advisory work. He spent twenty years in consultancy at EY and Baringa, where he founded EY's sustainable finance practice and built private markets ESG teams. His work has shaped how investors integrate sustainability and ethics into decision-making across asset classes.

Today, Simon combines deep technical expertise with sectoral insight to help investors and businesses navigate one of the most strategically important and ethically complex domains of the modern economy.
