James M. Beale is the Growth Officer for the Mid-Atlantic & Southeast Regions for Rockefeller Global Family Office (RGFO). As the Growth Officer for the Mid-Atlantic & Southeast Regions, James is responsible for strengthening Organic Growth strategies across RGFO, enhancing platform connectivity, and attracting top advisor talent. James is responsible for Practice Management, Relationship Management and RGFO’s Sports & Entertainment business.

James joined Rockefeller in April 2020, leading and shaping the firm’s Capital Markets and Managed Solutions Businesses.

Prior to joining Rockefeller, James spent 16 years with Merrill Lynch where he held leadership positions in Capital Markets Sales and Origination. James concluded his time at Merrill Lynch as a Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets Sales. Before joining Merrill Lynch in 2004, James started his career in finance at Scudder Investments serving in both Origination and Distribution roles after concluding a professional hockey career in Europe and the U.S.

James is an active advocate for victims of pediatric cancer and serves as a Trustee and Advisory Director on the board of The Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation. James is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, NY, serving on the board’s investment committee. A graduate of Wagner College, James holds his Series 7,24, 63 and 65 licenses.
