Kush Patel

Kush is a Partner and Co-Head of Permira’s Energy Transition team. He focuses primarily on investment opportunities in the climate and energy transition sector and has ~20 years of energy investing experience. Since joining Permira, he has led a number of transactions, including Tract, Fleet and Quadrante.

Prior to joining Permira, Kush worked at Blackstone, where he played a senior role in its global Energy Transition & Decarbonization Fund, focusing on investments in the energy services, energy efficiency, energy technology, and power / renewables sectors.

Prior to Blackstone, Kush was a public markets energy investor at King Street Capital and Kingsland Capital Management.

Kush holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from Boston University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was selected as a Palmer Scholar.
