Mark is a Partner at Lee Equity, a New York-based private equity firm that partners with management teams in the middle market to build high-growth businesses through control buyouts in the Financial and Healthcare Services sectors. He brings more than four decades of experience in private equity and financial services, with deep expertise across insurance, asset and wealth management, specialty finance, and healthcare services. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Mark was a Partner and co-founder of Capital Z Financial Services Partners, where he played a leading role in the operations and investment activities of the $5bn+ fund complex and shared responsibility for overseeing all the firm's investment and monitoring activities. Mark was previously a Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and a founding member of the Insurance Group at Merrill Lynch. At Lee Equity, Mark currently serves or has served as a director of numerous public and private companies, including Atria Wealth Solutions, Bradford Health, Captive Resources, McLarens Global Limited, Solaris Health, Summit Behavioral Health and The Edelman Financial Group. Mark is actively involved with several nonprofit organizations including, the Board of Trustees of St David’s School, the Latin American Advisory Board of Conservation International. He holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Denver and an M.B.A. from New York University.
