Michael Hollander
Mike joined GTCR in 2008 and currently serves as a Managing Director in the Financial Services & Technology group. He leads portfolio monitoring efforts across the firm’s growing portfolio and co-heads the firm’s Portfolio Resource Group. Mike worked previously at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a New York–based private equity firm, and Fremont Partners, a private equity group located in San Francisco. He started his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Salomon Smith Barney. Mike holds a BS in economics with concentrations in accounting and finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors and was a recipient of the Sol Feinstone Award.
Mike is currently a Director of Allspring Global Investments, AssetMark, CAPTRUST, Clear Capital, Concord Servicing, FMG, R&T, Ultimus Fund Solutions, Winged Keel, and JMG Group. He was previously a Director of past GTCR investments including Callcredit, Optimal Blue, Premium Credit Limited and The Townsend Group. He has played an instrumental role in GTCR’s investments in Ironshore and PrivateBancorp.
Outside of work, Mike serves as Chair of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Portrait Gallery and is on the Board of Directors of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where he serves on the Audit and Risk Committee.
