Theo Epstein is an Operating Partner at Arctos Partners. Arctos’ Operating Partners serve as strategic advisors across the Sports strategy, offering deep domain expertise and seasoned counsel to both the firm and its portfolio franchises.

Mr. Epstein also serves as a Senior Advisor and part-owner of Fenway Sports Group, bringing decades of leadership experience from a distinguished career as a Major League Baseball executive. He is widely recognized for leading two of the most historic turnarounds in professional sports, guiding the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs to World Series championships that ended 86- and 108-year championship droughts, respectively.

Mr. Epstein began his career in baseball operations with the Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres before becoming the youngest General Manager in Major League Baseball history with the Boston Red Sox. He later served as President of Baseball Operations for the Chicago Cubs, where he oversaw the organization’s long-term competitive and cultural transformation.

Mr. Epstein is a graduate of Yale University and the University of San Diego School of Law. He is also the co-founder of The Foundation to Be Named Later.
