Burt Chao

Burt Y. Chao is Chief Financial Officer of VelocityEHS, a leader in EHS and sustainability software. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading and scaling global software, payments, and technology businesses, with a focus on translating strategy into disciplined execution and long-term value creation.

Prior to VelocityEHS, Burt served as CFO of Nintex, Pushpay Holdings, and Kaleris/Navis, and held leadership roles in Alvarez & Marsal's Private Equity Services practice. He has worked closely with leading PE sponsors including CVC Capital Partners, Partners Group, Thoma Bravo, TPG, BGH Capital, Sixth Street, Accel-KKR, Audax, Vista Equity Partners, and Insight Partners, partnering with CEOs, boards, investors, and operating teams to align value creation initiatives with measurable financial and operational objectives.

Burt is passionate about building and mentoring high-performing teams to drive sustainable outcomes. He is based in Austin, Texas, and is a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin's Red McCombs School of Business.
