James Utton is Director of Revenue Operations at Alpine Operations Group, the value creation arm of Alpine Investors, where he partners with portfolio company leadership to design and scale high-performance go-to-market systems.

He brings a full-stack commercial perspective, having progressed from frontline Account Executive to sales leadership, before transitioning into Revenue Operations roles spanning Sales Operations Manager, Sales Architect, and Head of Revenue Operations. This experience enables him to translate strategy into practical, execution-oriented workflows aligned with frontline realities.

Prior to Alpine, James held multiple roles at CloudKitchens, where he partnered with engineering and product teams to deploy AI across sales and operations workflows, including lead generation systems and computer vision models to improve facility management and efficiency. Earlier at SmartAsset, he scaled the sales team from ~10 to 100+ reps and drove ARR growth from $20M to $100M through disciplined go-to-market execution.
