Marc Sorel
Marc A. Sorel is a Partner based out of McKinsey’s Boston office, with 10+ years of experience serving public, private, and social sector clients at the intersection of strategy and technology, with an emphasis on cybersecurity. He helps lead the Firm’s Private Equity and TMT practice technology investors joint venture in North America, including McKinsey’s cybersecurity provider practice, which Marc co-founded, and its annual early-stage investor conference.
Prior to McKinsey, Marc worked in various U.S. national security roles, most recently as a U.S. Navy Reserve Information Warfare Officer, where he took military leave from McKinsey to deploy with Navy Special Warfare to the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and continues to drill actively with a CENTCOM reserve unit.
Marc holds a J.D. and M.S.F.S., with distinction, from Georgetown University. He also holds a B.A. in History, with distinction, from Yale University. He was a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
