Michael Todd joined Silver Lake in 2021 and is an Operating Partner. Prior to Silver Lake Michael held senior engineering and product leadership roles at Amazon Lab126, where he led Alexa Device Software Engineering and Mobile Engineering, overseeing teams building AI-enabled devices and services. Earlier, he was Senior Engineering Manager at Google, leading Engineering and SRE teams. Michael co-founded and served as CTO of both Victorious, a mobile video platform acquired by Headspace, and Red Swoosh, a peer-to-peer content delivery network acquired by Akamai. He also served as CTO of OpenX, a leading digital advertising company. Michael began his career at DEC Western Research Labs on the Altavista team. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from UCLA and holds patents in real-time auction pricing systems.
