Var George is a Technology Executive at Veritas Capital, a leading private equity firm with $50B+ AUM. He leads Veritas' portfolio-wide cybersecurity risk governance program, which he conceived and built from the ground up, helping portfolio companies strengthen cyber resilience, risk management, and security oversight. He also leads AI risk and readiness assessments and drives AI and cybersecurity adoption across the portfolio.
Var brings 25+ years of CTO and product/engineering executive experience, including seven years as a technology operating executive at Veritas and executive roles at PowerSchool, Satmetrix, E2open, and Oracle. He partners with deal teams across the investment lifecycle, leading diligence, carveouts, value creation, and portfolio-wide initiatives spanning product, technology, AI, and cybersecurity.
Var holds an M.S. in Systems & Information from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, an M.S. in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, and a Chief AI Officer certification from Cornell. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
