Benjamin Schall is Head of DACH at Kartesia. With over 17 years of experience in structured finance across multiple debt classes, both as a lender and advisor, Benjamin is deeply embedded within the German-speaking markets. Benjamin was previously a Partner at Apera Asset Management, specialising in private debt investments in DACH, with a particular focus on direct lending in the lower mid-market. As a member of the Investment Committee, he oversaw the firm's portfolio, from deal origination to supporting companies through to exit. Prior to Apera, Benjamin spent 13 years at UniCredit, leading the bank's lower-mid market activities for financial sponsors from 2016. Earlier, he worked in debt capital markets, advising on and arranging structured financing solutions for sponsors and corporates across EMEA.
