Jean is a Portfolio Manager at the New York State Insurance Fund and leads the organization’s private credit strategies. Jean has been in the finance industry since 2007. Prior to joining the organization, she held multiple roles focused on building and scaling private credit platforms, with responsibilities spanning origination and underwriting. She began her finance career as an investment banking associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and has held roles at various institutions including SMBC, East West Bank, Encina Capital and OakNorth Bank. Her areas of expertise include fund finance, structured credit, and middle market direct lending across lower, core, and upper middle market borrowers in both sponsor-backed and non-sponsored transactions. Jean holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
