Julian is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Avellinia Capital, a private credit investment firm based in London and Luxembourg that provides asset-based lending solutions to startups and growth companies in the innovation economy. He has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles on both the buy and sell sides, covering investing, structuring, trading, business development, and senior management. His sector experience primarily spans alternative and structured credit as well as commodities at leading institutions. Before joining Avellinia Capital, Julian was the European Chief Executive of ZAIS Group, a previously NASDAQ-listed alternative asset manager focused on structured and complex credit, with more than US$ 6bn in AuM. Prior to ZAIS, he worked in commodities trading at Glencore in Zug, Switzerland. Julian began his career at Lehman Brothers in London, where he advised institutional investors on structured credit products and solutions. Additionally, he has served as an advisor to hedge funds, alternative asset managers, and startups and scale-ups.
