Head of Indirect Private Debt , Generali Asset Management

Marco leads the management of GenAM SGR’s Private Debt Fund-of-Funds and Secondaries funds, overseeing the selection, implementation, and monitoring of investments in private debt funds managed by top global asset managers on primary and secondary markets. He also serves as advisor to several private debt funds, providing strategic oversight and veto authority. Previously, Marco headed the Generali Group CIO Office and managed investments for EMEA insurance companies. Before joining Generali, he worked at Banca IMI (Intesa Sanpaolo Group) as a proprietary trader, specializing in securities financing and derivatives transactions. His career began in Financial Risk Management at PwC. Marco holds an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University, including an exchange at Vanderbilt University (USA), and a BA in Economics (cum laude) from the University of Padova. He is CESGA certified and currently pursuing an Executive MBA at ESCP Business School.
