Matt Maleri is a Partner and the Head of Insurance at NEPC. In addition to leading the firm’s Insurance business, Matt works directly with insurance, defined benefit, healthcare and defined contribution clients. Prior to joining NEPC in 2022, Matt was a Consultant and Lead Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Matt was a Partner at Rocaton Investment Advisors and joined GSAM as part of the firm's acquisition of Rocaton in 2019.

At Rocaton, Matt was a lead consultant working directly with clients. Prior to that, Matt was a senior member of Rocaton’s capital markets/asset allocation research effort, responsible for developing the firm’s macro outlook and capital market assumptions. Matt also spent a number of years on the firm’s manager research team, leading the research effort for multi-asset strategies, convertible bonds, emerging market debt, and commodities.

Matt earned an MBA and BS in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University.
