Terry is Co-Chief Investment Officer and a partner of Longwall Investment Partners, a multi-family office founded in 2021. He has three decades of direct investing, allocating and consulting experience in both alternative and traditional investments and across the private and public sectors.

Terry was previously head of Portfolio Management and a member of the Global Investment Committee of Permal Group, a $20 billion fund-of-funds firm. He was the head of the firm’s Customized Fund Solutions and Investment Strategy groups, oversaw customized hedge fund portfolios, and was Co-Portfolio Manager of the Permal Absolute Return Fund.

Prior to Permal, Terry served as Principal Investment Officer for Private Equity and Alternative Investments at the Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds, overseeing the $50 billion pension fund’s hedge fund, private equity, real asset, and opportunistic investments. During his tenure, he was named by Institutional Investor as a Hedge Fund Rising Star and by Irish America as one of the 50 most influential Irish Americans in finance. Connecticut's fund was also named Plan of the Year in hedge funds in 2014 by Institutional Investor.

Terry began his career at Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management and managed two hedge funds before becoming an allocator. He has an MBA in Finance from New York University and a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
