Jennifer McGoey joined Dawson in 2020 and has 16 years of compliance and legal experience. Jennifer joined Dawson from HSBC Global Banking & Markets, where she advised on regulatory and compliance requirements, and assisted in developing the risk and control framework. Prior to that, Jennifer was at BMO Capital Markets, where she led a compliance and supervision team focused on regulatory policy and governance and change management. Jennifer also acted as Senior Counsel supporting Bank of Montreal’s treasury, investor relations and capital management groups, as well as the investment banking and structured product businesses of BMO Capital Markets. Jennifer began her career practicing banking and securities law at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, a leading Canadian law firm. Jennifer holds a Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
