Karla Lombardi is the Controller and is responsible for accounting and finance operations, establishing and maintaining internal controls, and the integrity of all financial reporting. Karla's accounting career began with four years at a commercial real estate company and developer. She then joined the public accounting firm KPMG, spending the first two years focused on tax compliance for some of the largest financial services firms in Chicago, followed by two years of consulting as part of the tax credits and methods team. Leveraging the latter, she moved on to be a manager in the federal tax planning group of a Fortune 100 company. Karla graduated from the University of Kansas with a business degree, earned a Master’s in Accounting and Financial Management, and is a licensed CPA in Illinois.
