Alex Wein-Smith

Alex Wein-Smith is a Principal at Kearney, a global management consulting firm, and a member of the firm’s Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure practice. She brings 10+ years of consulting and industry experience focused on power, utilities, and infrastructure, with expertise in utility and infrastructure services. Alex advises investors and management teams across the investment lifecycle, from commercial due diligence and market assessment through value creation, performance improvement, and exit preparation. Her work spans field services, engineering, construction, safety, geospatial and analytics, and other critical infrastructure businesses. In addition to transaction and portfolio-company work, Alex also advises utilities and infrastructure businesses on deploying capital to modernize assets, strengthen execution, and capture growth opportunities. She holds a B.S. in Earth and Planetary Science and a B.A. in Environmental Economics and Policy from UC Berkeley, as well as an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Based in New York, Alex lives in Brooklyn with her husband and is expecting their first child, a daughter, in January.
