David T. Field co-founded Arroyo in 2003 and has over 35 years of experience investing in the power and energy industries. He is responsible for Arroyo’s overall business development and daily operations. Mr. Field oversees transaction origination, negotiation and execution, as well as risk management and financial reporting for Arroyo. To date, Arroyo has over ~$4 billion in assets under management in the energy space. Prior to establishing Arroyo, Mr. Field was a Managing Director and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at El Paso Merchant Energy. During his tenure there, he was responsible for the investment of an annual capital budget of over $400 million. Under his management, the group acquired more than 20 interests in power-generating investment companies, totaling more than $1.3 billion in investments. Prior to his time at El Paso Merchant Energy, Mr. Field was a Managing Director, Principal and Founder of Cinergy Capital & Trading, a boutique investment group, and held various positions with Koch Energy Trading. While at Koch, he developed and executed a unique investment plan of acquiring, restructuring and monetizing above-market “qualifying facility” power agreements. Mr. Field graduated from Texas Christian University with a BBA in accounting, cum laude, and received his JD, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law.
