Farouki Majeed

Farouki Majeed joined SERS as Chief Investment Officer in July 2012. Throughout his 14 years at SERS, he has focused on building a program that not only meets, but also exceeds its long-term investment objectives. This process has entailed constructing a portfolio that focuses on value-added performance, risk management, cost effectiveness, and income generation to pay pension benefits. Implementation of these strategies has generated a net return of 10.05% over 10 years, increasing the funding ratio from 62% to 80% since 2012.

SERS of Ohio currently serves over 165,000 non-teaching active members and approximately 85,000 retirees of statewide public school districts.
