Greg Reid

Gregory A. Reid is President and Chief Investment Officer of Westwood’s Real Asset complex.  Greg has over 20 years of experience managing public and private energy investments in both midstream and upstream sectors.  He previously served as President of Salient Partners and Lead Portfolio Manager for the Energy Infrastructure complex from 2011-2022 when Westwood acquired Salient.  Prior to Salient, Greg was co-founder and chief executive officer of RDG Capital LLC, before it was acquired by Salient in January 2011. Prior to his tenure with RDG Capital LLC, he managed the Houston office for Telemus Capital Partners (“Telemus”) and worked for 10 years as a senior vice president of Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group and also seven years as vice president of Goldman Sachs. Greg earned an MBA degree from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1991 and his BBA from Texas A&M University in 1987. He is a member of Tiger 21 and Young Presidents Organization (YPO) along with various charitable organizations.
