Alex joined USS in 2009 and was appointed Deputy Head of Property in 2012.  He has had a wide range of responsibilities during his tenure within the property team, including oversight of the office and alternatives portfolios, plus leading on investment transactions more broadly.  He has set up numerous joint ventures and has taken the leading role in the origination and implementation of the Long Income Property strategy.  Alex now oversees the Property Team, with responsibility for strategy, origination, asset and property management across both the direct and indirect holdings within the UK and internationally.

Prior to joining USS, Alex previously worked at Hermes and Royal London Asset Management.  Alex holds a BSc in Estate Management from the University of Northumbria and a Post Graduate Diploma in Property Investment from The College of Estate Management.  He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
