Rachael Baker

Rachael has 19 years’ experience working in private equity, as an Investor, Partner and Board Director. She is currently Partner at LDC and was previously Partner at Graphite Capital where she was responsible for leading the origination, execution and realisation of investment opportunities across the Business Services sector. At LDC, Rachael is Partner in the Portfolio Team and is responsible for partnering with management teams to help them implement value creation strategies and realise their growth ambitions. She started her career as a strategy consultant at LEK Consulting working on private equity due diligence, corporate M&A and post-transactional strategy implementation across a wide range of sectors and geographies.

Rachael is also a Meyler Campbell Mastered accredited Executive Coach and specialises in coaching private equity professionals and senior executives within PE-backed organisations. Her role is to help clients unlock more of the impact and potential they are already capable of delivering, elevating confidence and leadership presence, and accelerating performance.

Rachael has built her career while raising three boys, navigating there very different maternity leaves. She therefore understands firsthand that professional and personal challenges are rarely separate - they are deeply connected and often need to be worked through together. She is passionate about helping women in private equity better navigate maternity leave in order to return with confidence and thrive in the next stage of their career.
