Sophie Sperlich

Sophie advises clients on the strategic positioning of competition cases and transactions in the political-regulatory space, with a focus on merger control, FDI and FSR proceedings and antitrust investigations.
Previously a lawyer, she has extensive experience as a lawyer advising multinational companies on all aspects of competition and antitrust law, including complex cross-border merger control, FDI and FSR proceedings. Sophie joined FGS in 2024 from Freshfields' Brussels office.
Recent work includes advising on the partnership between JD.com and CECONOMY in Europe, as well as supporting a range of private equity clients on the geopolitical risk profiles of planned transactions.
